L'art de vivre in Burgundy
The Pré Germain is a large country-side estate located in te heart of Burgundy in the lush green hilly region named Auxois. The 18th century house is surrounded by a 4 hectares parc, stream, orchard, an organic vegetable garden, large lawn and forest.
The house was purchased in 2011 and largely renovated to accommodate and entertain with warmth and comfort, and transform it into this amazing discovery hub conducive of new encounters or just to take time for yourself or with yours. It became chambre d’hôtes in 2015.
L’art de « vivre la Bourgogne » au Pré Germain is in many way similar to the danish « hygge » : Simplicity, comfort, magic of lights, beauty of nature, openness to others, living in the moment…
Les bons petits plats (literally "good little dishes") are home made and you will be able to enjoy and discover burgundy's finest wines to pair with your meal. Vegetables are home grown organic and fresh and food is prepared mostly with locally grown ingredients.
Guests at Le Pré Germain aren't looking for a hotel room. Their very diverse backgrounds make for rich experiences in this house and a source of unique encounters.
Around the wood burning fire or in the sunbathed gardens, a cup of tea or a glass of Gevrey-Chambertin in hand for those wine amateurs, all can enjoy and get to know others unique experiences and be left full of new found ideas and inspiration.
Those who prefer to come in love can, if they wish, live this moment in all privacy and confidentiality.
Musiciens feel at home at Le Pré Germain. In the music lounge you will find a C3 Yamaha piano. In the living room a Sonos/Deezer sound system allows you to select and play music to your heart and dancing feet's content.
